NUMO receives Review Report from the Special Review Committee for the NUMO Safety Case
The Nuclear Waste Management Organization of Japan (NUMO) released “NUMO safety case report – Development of Pre-siting SDM-based Safety Case – (Draft for external review)” (“Safety Case Report”) in Japanese in November 2018 and requested the Special Review Committee for the NUMO Safety Case (“Review Committee”) of the Atomic Energy Society of Japan (AESJ) to review its technical reliability in December.
Based on the results of the review report, we will revise the Safety Case Report to make improvements and release revised version in Japanese in spring 2020 and English version around winter 2020.

The personal information you provide is used to respond to your inquiries and provide you with relevant information such as public meetings. It is not used for any other purpose.
2 Management of Personal Information

In addition, in the case of transferring the personal data of residents of the EEA (European Economic Area) from the EEA to another region including Japan, NUMO properly protects the collected information in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (hereafter “GDPR”).
3 Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties
NUMO does not disclose or provide your personal information to third parties without your consent. However, personal information may be provided in the case of the need to protect human life, body, or individual property and obtaining your consent is not feasible.
4 Outsourcing of Personal Information Handling
In the event of outsourcing some or all of the provided personal information to the extent necessary to achieve the purpose of use, we select contractors that sufficiently fulfill the required level of personal information protection and supervise and manage the contractors.
5 Retention Period of Personal Information
We retain personal information during the period necessary for the purpose of use.
6 Disclosure of Personal Information
Regarding your personal information, you may request to be notified of the purpose of use, the disclosure, correction, additional and deletion of your personal information, and the suspension of its use or provision to third parties (hereafter collectively referred to as "disclosure"). Please contact us through our contact form if you wish to request disclosure of your personal information. We may confirm your identity before such disclosure.

Regarding the personal information you provide, you have the following rights in addition to the right of disclosure.

8 Arbitrary Nature of Personal Information Provision and Case of Not Providing Personal Information
We collect your personal information to respond to your inquiries only after obtaining your consent. Please note that if your consent is not obtained, we will not be able to respond to your inquiries.
9 Automated Individual Decision-making about Personal Information
We do not make any automated individual decisions that could significantly affect you, including profiling, regarding the personal information you submit.
